Description
Vergelegen's Premium Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot is a classic Bordeaux-style blend with great concentration and structure. Fruit for the Premium Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot was hand-picked from the north and north-westerly vineyards at Vergelegen, South Africa where a long and mild growing season brought perfect ripeness. It was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
This Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot is a lovely bright dark red colour. Striking notes of ripe cassis, with hints of cedar and spice on the nose. Fresh and lively in the mouth with fine tannins, great structure, cassis and plum fruit concentration, and a long, lingering finish.
