Description
Casa Ferreirinha were the first Douro wine producer not to make Port and focus just on table wines for which they have an unparalled reputation. This red, Esteva Tinto, is their easy drinking entry level into the world of red Douro wines. It's made from a blend of Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barocca, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional fermented and aged in stainless steel. It's got intense aromas of red fruits, spicy notes of black pepper and light floral hints. Good acidity and grippy tannins help carry the fresh fruit flavours to a lovely elegant finish. It's a good value introduction to the wines of one of Portugal's major labels.
Smooth and polsihed it's perfect with red meats and dishes with rich sauces.
